Experience Wild Australia through the Sydney Taronga Zoo

If you want to have a close, thorough, and comprehensive experience of the native animals of Australia, go backstage at the Sydney Taronga Zoo. Take the photo opportunity with the koalas or give food to a wallaby. Join a group tour composed of not more than 8 people and be guided by a zoo keeping expert and be educated on the animals from Down Under by interacting with them in the flesh.

The tour package will take two enjoyable and unforgettable hours in Taronga Zoo. Be amazed by the views from a ride on the Sky Safari gondola. Get in the enclosure and take pictures with the koalas. Take a sneak peek at what a zoo kitchen looks like and how it operates. Feed the wallabies and kangaroos using your bare hands. Experience the Australian Nocturnal House first-hand. Enjoy tea with scones in the morning and afternoon. You can make the most of your time and opportunities as you only have a small group. Before and after the tour, you will still have access to Taronga Zoo.

The most outstanding features of this tour are the small group size and having a zookeeper as a guide. All these result to a more relaxed atmosphere and better opportunities as you get up close and personal with the distinctive wildlife of Australia like the kangaroos, wallabies, platypuses and koalas.

Known as the official zoo of the city of Sydney, Taronga Zoo has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the city. It is located along the harbor and you can get there by car (which will take longer) or ferry, which takes 12 minutes from the Circular Quay. One can see the Sydney Opera House from the zoo, aside from the other spots that can be found along the bay.

Once you get there, you have to ride the Sky Safari in order to reach the top entrance. As you go along, feast your eyes on the view of the Asian rainforest where you can spot orangutans. A bird’s eye view of the AGL Amazonia will amaze you. This is where South American animals can be found.

When you get to the top entrance, you will be met by the designated zoo keeper. Your Wild Australia Experience will officially begin. You will be able to get up close and personal with the animals and at the same time how the zoo keepers go about their jobs. Get to see all the Australian animals that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. You will also be able to observe how they are taken care of. You will also have access to places that the public is not allowed to see. Feed the animals, too, and explore the zoo’s special animal kitchen.

Your zoo keeper will show you around the Australian bush land. Access the Australian Nocturnal House and see the animals that you don’t normally see during the day. Get to know more about the Southern hairy-nosed wombat and its world under the ground. Learn about the platypus and how it survives in its habitat. Your two hour tour is concluded a snack at the Harbourview Cafe and a token for remembrance.

Your tour package includes a general entry ticket to the zoo. This means that you can explore all you want in the zoo. Check out the shows and exhibits. Choose when to go around; whether before your tour or after it. If you want to satisfy your curiosity about the animals, participate in the regular keeper discussions.
